A short route from brief to handover

Gavita project services, clearly sequenced

Bring the constraints you already know. We will organize the open questions around the installation and its operating targets.

01

Application intake

We capture room dimensions, crop type, growth stage, target PPFD, photoperiod, supply voltage, ambient temperature and any control platform already selected. A complete intake reduces false precision later: a fixture name without mounting height and canopy area cannot establish coverage.

Photographs of racks, trusses, electrical panels and service aisles add useful context. For renovation work, the existing fixture count, circuit loading and observed hot spots help distinguish an optical problem from a controls or installation problem.

02

Layout and selection review

Candidate luminaires are reviewed against photon distribution, spectral power distribution, thermal management and physical access. When a PPFD map is available, the center, edge and minimum values are considered together with uniformity rather than reduced to one headline number.

Comparison conditions must stay consistent. A map calculated at one mounting height cannot be fairly compared with another map at a different plane, and modeled reflectance should be disclosed before the predicted values inform purchasing.

03

Controls coordination

Dimming range, zoning, controller adapters and emergency behavior are checked before installation. Centralized control simplifies policy management; distributed zones can isolate local changes. The preferred architecture depends on facility workflow and acceptable commissioning effort.

A controls review also records the response after power loss, the minimum stable dimming level and who can change schedules. These practical details affect crop consistency and the burden placed on facility staff.

Handover documentation

The handover package can organize fixture schedules, mounting notes, control assumptions and maintenance access. Final performance still depends on field conditions, electrical quality, reflectance, crop geometry and commissioning, so site verification remains part of acceptance.

Acceptance readings should use a documented sensor, grid, measurement height and operating state. This produces a repeatable baseline for later maintenance without claiming that every crop cycle will produce the same biological outcome.
