Applications across climates and workflows

Gavita lighting contexts by operating environment

A region changes voltage, regulation and service logistics; the room itself changes mounting, heat, moisture and target light delivery.

Multi-tier and sealed-room cultivation

Low clearances make fixture depth, driver placement and heat extraction as important as photon output. A typical review maps PPFD at canopy height, checks uniformity at shelf edges and tests dimming behavior at the intended controller setting. Reflective surfaces can improve utilization but also complicate point measurements.

Boundary: published coverage cannot replace a room-specific plan where rack spacing, crop height or reflectance differs from the stated test condition.

Greenhouses with changing daylight

Supplemental lighting must be read beside solar contribution and seasonal DLI. Layout work considers truss shadows, mounting access, IP rating, crop rows and daylight-control logic. A distributed zone strategy can respond to local daylight; centralized scheduling can simplify consistent operating policy.

Boundary: condensation, washdown practice and high ambient temperature require confirmation against the selected product rating.

Task-oriented professional interiors

Commercial indoor lighting shifts the conversation toward luminous flux, CCT, CRI, UGR and candela distribution. High efficacy may reduce connected load, while glare control and visual quality can require different optics or lower output density. The correct balance follows the task and occupancy pattern.

Boundary: horticultural PPFD values and human-vision illuminance are not interchangeable metrics.

What changes the selection

The priorities below organize a discovery conversation. They do not score one facility against another, and their relative importance changes with crop stage, shift pattern and local compliance requirements.

Bars indicate relative review emphasis, not measured project performance. Regional certification, voltage and service coverage must be confirmed for the selected product before procurement.
